HUMAN MRI RF COILS

We develop and construct high-quality human custom-built single-tuned (¹H) and double-tuned (¹H/X-nuclei) MRI RF coils and phased arrays including coils for Ultra-High Field (UHF, 7 T and above) MRI.

UHF 7T double-tuned (¹H/²H) RF array head coil consisted of the transmit (Tx) ²H (45.5 MHz) bird cage coil, 8-element Tx ¹H (297.2MHz) array, 8-element receive (Rx) ²H array, and 16-element Rx ¹H array

  

The number of elements in the ¹H Tx array can be increased to 16, e.g. 2 rows of 8 loops

  

The total number of elements in both Rx arrays can be increased up to 32

  

Based on the same design, other ¹H/X-nuclei array coil combinations (e.g. ¹H/³¹P, ¹H/²³Na, ¹H/¹³C etc.) can be constructed

  

Alternatively, the same housing can be used to construct a double-layer single tuned ¹H, e.g. 16-Tx/ 32-Rx, array coil

An 8-dipole transmit / 24-element receive RF array neck (C-spine) array coil for UHF 7T MRI

  

For subject convenience, an ergonomically shaped housing is splittable in two halves
