ANIMAL MRI RF COILS

We are experienced in designing and constructing animal custom-built single-tuned (¹H) and double-tuned (¹H/X-nuclei) MRI RF coils, phased arrays and required hardware (splitters, T/R switches) for UHF (up to 14 T, ¹H frequency of 600 MHz).

A double-tuned 7T birdcage rat coil

A double-tuned 9.4T ¹H/ ²H birdcage rat coil

A transmit 9.4 T birdcage rat coil combined with a receive surface coil. Upon request, the single receive surface coil can be also replaced with a multi-channel receive array.

An open transmit 9.4 T birdcage rat coil. The open “halve-volume” birdcage coil can be used instead of the full-volume coil for convenience of the animal placement or in case the bore space is limited
